Its like it was placed in a plastic sachet w/ oil then sort of vacuumed to pull the air out.
But due to old age, air have come in. No rust marks seen. Item is as in Mint / Brand New Condition
Please also understand that these were made in the 1980s and issued as TOOLS to the US Army and not luxury items like Victorinox. So please do not expect Victorinox finish on it.
The Knife show some scratches on the side when used since it comes into contact with the can opener. It also has a slight tilt so it will fit in the slot. ALL STOCKS ARE LIKE THIS.
The Demo Knife is an all-stainless steel multitool, that is bit overbuilt. It's not loaded to bear a lot of tools. But you will find what you need and not anymore. The tool is equipped with a blade, can opener, flat-head screwdriver, awl, and bottle opener.
